PADI Open Water Diver - Scuba Diving since 2019

I grew up in Westminster, Maryland, 3 hours away from the closest ocean. I began the process of becoming an open water diver when I was 15, but I didn't complete my certification until I was 22. My interest in diving was reignited when my family went on a vacation to the Bahamas that included a scuba trip. They came back from the dive excited about all of the sharks they got to see. Naturally I was jealous and decided it was finally time to finish my certification. My first open water dives were in the winter in Pennsylvania. My next experience with diving was just a month later at Rainbow Reef Dive Center when my family came to Key Largo to visit with my sister who was in the internship program (she is now an instructor). The difference between diving in the cold, dark quarry and diving in the clear, blue ocean was like night and day. I knew it would be impossible to go back to quarry diving, so I found myself following my sister's lead and within a few months I packed my bags and moved to Key Largo. I can't wait to see where this new adventure takes me!
