Mid Sand Island
Mid Sand Island consists of a large patch (island) of sand surrounded by a sea of beautiful coral ledges. This shallow site is easy to navigate and just a short swim to North or South Sand Island.
The sand patch here is home to many Yellow Headed Jawfish, Stingrays, and Gobies. Make sure to check under the many undercuts and ledges for Spotted Drums, Spotted Morays and Glassy Sweepers.This site is 20 to 25 feet deep, rarely has current and is ideal for Open Water training, and all levels of certified divers.
