Lauren is originally from Vienna Virginia and grew up boating with her family. She started her career on water with Kayaking tours in Alexandria VA and Fort Washington MD becoming certified with the American Canoe Association as a rescue and instructor for sea kayaking when she was only 14. Once she started driving at 16 she started working for the park services running rescue boats in Great Falls.

During the school year she kept up with her water activities by becoming a rower and eventually rowed D1 for George Mason University, and started coaching at her Alma Mater, as well as High School students, and Master athletes. She pursued this career further in 2010 by attending the University of Miami to receive her MS Ed in Athletics. Lauren then started coaching in Florida and working for Blue Moon Outdoor Center to get back into kayaking tours in Miami FL. Eventually Lauren bought out the owners of Blue Moon in 2019.

As her business grew Lauren started to get more hands off and exploring other ways to be on the water professionally. Lauren finally used all her experience on the water to get her USCG 100 ton license in 2022 and started running private charters in the Florida keys and Fort Lauderdale. She now runs several dive, snorkel and sandbar. boats throughout the keys.

Then after years of being on top of the water, Lauren finally discovered Scuba diving in 2022. She quickly loved the sport and even went to dive the Red Sea in July 2023. She is now a Divemaster looking to complete her Instructor course this coming Fall 2024.

She now runs several dive, snorkel and sandbar boats throughout the keys. Lauren can’t wait to get you out to the amazing wrecks and reefs in Key Largo.
