Nitrox (Enriched Air Diver)

The latest way to safely give you more time underwater is Enriched air. Better known as NITROX, this higher oxygen mix of diving gas can make you feel less fatigued and load less nitrogen while, in some cases, significantly increasing your bottom time.

  • This class can be combined with Specialty Courses or with the PADI Advanced Open Water Course

    The PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox) course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.

    If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enroll in the Enriched Air Diver Specialty course.

    The e-learning system allows you to take the course with your computer, phone or tablet and it covers all the enriched air diver course content and allows you to study at your own pace through an easy-to-use, interactive presentation. When you complete the e-learning course all you need to do when you arrive at Rainbow Reef is analyze your tanks and plan your dive with your instructor.

    Nitrox can be combined with any trip package or other class to receive a discount.

    After watching the video and reading the online Enriched Air Diver course, you’ll be ready for your final exam and practical application session with your instructor when you arrive at Rainbow Reef.
