Christmas Tree Cave
Christmas Tree Cave is the most popular site on French Reef. This end of the reef has some spectacular coral formations with walls and pinnacles rising off the ocean floor 10 to 15 feet. The undercuts at the base of the formations are large enough to swim into, and in some cases run right through the reef.
Christmas Tree Cave is actually our large swim-through named after the numerous Christmas Tree Worms surrounding the cave. Two smaller swim-throughs sit close by so it's a quick swim to check out the Donut Hole and the Hourglass.
A great spot for beginners, juniors and even snorkelers, the depth here is only 25-30 feet, and the swim-throughs are a great way for divers work on their buoyancy control.
