South Lodges

South Ledges is the extreme southern end of Elbow Reef and is mostly known for being the deepest section of the reef because of it's pretty steep drop off on the southernmost ledge.

We often stop here as a 2nd location following up a City of Washington dive. The reef slopes off down to an almost famous ledge known as "Nelson's Ledge" which is in about 85 feet of water. Here you will find giant barrel sponges and brain and star corals all over the bottom.
